At the very beginning of my jewellery making journey, I made only necklaces. Why? I did not own a pair of jewellery making pliers and making earrings with just scissors was difficult. Even after I got some basic tools, I focused on making necklaces. I made them simple, elaborate, festive, and grand – a necklace to suit every mood, every occasion. When clients asked for matching earrings, I started making earrings that would play second fiddle to my necklaces. Through the years, I have had several requests to make simpler necklaces with focus on the earrings. Somehow, I could never bring myself to do it other than custom orders. That is, until now. After a lot of thought, I have made Pendant and earrings sets of fabric jewellery in my latest collection and here they are for your viewing and shopping pleasure.
Pendant and earrings sets of fabric jewellery
In this post, I have three lightweight Pendant and earrings sets of fabric jewellery to show you. They are all lightweight and are available for sale. You can view the rest of the collection at the Shop at Sayuri page of this blog. Items are being added every 2-3 days; please check. I have dealing with technical difficulties on the social media front and my Instagram account was hacked and is yet to be sorted. So I am unable to post any images, comments or updates on IG. Please mail me instead if you have any queries.
Pink and Red Afghani set
If you are looking for a gently swaying pendant necklace with ethnic earrings, look no further than this one. The summery vibe, the printed fabric focal and the airy crochet cord are all about enjoying life (Joie de vivre to be accurate). The chains supports the weight of the pendant, ensuring the durability of the set.
The earrings are simple yet stunning with faux Afghani connectors on artisan wire hand made hooks. This set is available for sale.
Tropical print and Cowries
The print on this set is the same as the one that you see on “Of tropical prints and coins” in the Banjaran Dreams post. While it looks traditionally Indian in that necklace, this version is laid back and casual. The necklace must be worn low on the chest with the pendant and cowries dangling right above your stomach. However, the cord can be changed to beads or chains on request.
The pendant comes with coordinated Wooden tropical earrings with cowrie shells. The back is as pretty as the front with the same tropical print. It is edged with green ball chain. The earrings are between 2.5 inches to 3 inches in length and lightweight. This set is available for sale.
Green Paisley pendant and earrings
This last one is a jacquard pendant on a black cord on which I have knotted a few beads. The clasp is knotted as well with lagniappe beads. The earrings are square with trapeziod studs, geometric in style, juxtaposing the organic paisley motif. The beads are glass to add some weight and balance to the set.
I initially made it based on the “foliage theme” (Art Elements blog reveal). However, I felt that it made sense to show it here, in this post. This set is available for sale.
That brings us to the close of this post on Pendant and earrings sets of fabric jewellery. I hope you enjoyed it. Please share your thoughts on what you think about this collection and how I could extend the range.

Jewellery Care – Fabric jewellery is sensitive to water, even sweat. They need air drying after every wear. Nevertheless, The cord closure can be cleaned with a damp cloth or washed with a little water and dried thoroughly if required. Avoid spraying on perfume or deodorant on/around the pieces. Please wear them last, after you have worn your clothes, makeup, and perfume.
