Continuing with my previous post on the floral line from my metal collection – Dhathu, here is the second installment from Dhathu 2 (second edition) jewelry made with bought metal components and altered with patina and alcohol inks.
Dhathu metal Collection with flowers II
Roses of steel
Brass cuff bangles with rustic effect. I didn’t use patina here but worked with acrylic paints, metallic accents and glaze to get the rustic effect. This bangle is still available for sale.
Flower on a vine
Earrings creating by Patina-ing metal components in bold blue, green, red and gold color with gold beads and pearl representing flowers on a vine. I started with silver tone pendants, added a metal rose, colored the component and added golden beads to completely transform it into warm festive earrings
Big Flower necklace
Big enamel flower necklace created with Patina-ed metal Flower pendant in pink, green and gold strung together with crackled and coated beads. This was initially a plain brass pendant which everyone hated and once I colored it everyone wanted it and it was the first piece I sold in the Dhathu collection. Goes to show how color can make a difference
Red lotus set
Necklace and earrings created with patina-ed silver tone floral metal connectors beads and pearls representing compassion and love that a red lotus stands for. I love these earrings…dont you?
I hope you find it interesting
Cheers
