Analogous violet and pink necklace

I am an analogous violet and pink tassel necklace, Divya’s most recent creation. She made me as a birthday gift for a pretty girl who loves purple.

My colour scheme is what you would call an analogous colour harmony. Analogous colours are 3-5 hues located adjacent to one another on a colour wheel. It can also includes tints, tones, and shades of those hues. For example, as pink is a tint of red, its analogous colour family includes light reddish-oranges on one side and voiletish-blues on the other. I myself am violet, purple, plum, mauve and heliotrope to be exact. Ofcourse, there is a garnish of bronze and brass to make me fit for a princess.

I was inspired by wisteria flowers known for their symbolism of longevity, love, devotion and strength. That makes me a great birthday gift. I was gifted with a couple of assorted earrings and a handmade pipe cleaner bouquet.

I am made of an assortment of beads. Faceted round and rondrell agates make up the necklace and the tassel includes seed beads, glass crystals and ceramic beads.

Tassel anyone?

I can be worn with or without the tassel. Join both the lobster claw clasps together and voila you have a super short, super cute beaded neck chain. I could be worn with other pendants too. But keeping the tassel on is fun. It draws the eye downwards, creating a sense of length and movement. The tassel was refashioned from two bead tassels that were earrings in their previous life. They were looped together and fitted with a bead cone with a little bead on top. The tassel is a combination of tiny rose and golden seed beads with fine, translucent pink crystals on the end.

I can be worn as the analogous violet and pink statement necklace. But my elongated silhouette also makes me feel light and graceful rather than heavy. A bit playful too, considering the tassel and all. I am curious to know what you think?
