Hi Priya, Tell us something about you, yours likes and your interests
Hello I am Priya Sivaraj, from India, which is a multilingual, multiethnic society. Inspite of all the differences, there is a feeling of oneness among the people, which makes the country unique!
I am a Stay at Home mom of an adorable 5 year old boy and wife of a handsome loving husband!. I had been working with a reputed software company. I resigned my job to take good care of my little kidoo and pursue my interests! and I have to say I am loving both! Whether I will resume my job or not is a debate going on, that is yet to receive its verdict. Currently I am one of the designers for Varnas stamps and Studio V Challenges. I started blogging last year to share all that I create or design . I also share tutorials on what I am upto, so that every reader, visiting my blog, would not only get to admire my works but also, learn something each time they visit my blog.

Thats a lovely thought. So what is that you like to create?
I make Tanjore paintings, Acrylic painting, glass painting, Coffee painting, ceramic painting, Mehandi, quilling, soft toys, decoupage, Kerala murals, M-seal mural, epoxy mural and many of that sort.I mostly quill, make cards ,scrapbook now, as you can do one in a jiffy(for regular blog posts). Of all my works, I love the Tanjore art most! It is an important form of classical South Indian painting, known for its surface richness, vivid colors and compact composition. It is so intricate and needs much patience! In Quilling I make Aarti plates and earrings. With the college girls and office goers, flaunting matching earrings for every attire in their wardrobe, quilled earnings have become more fashionable and easy on their pockets!
Nowadays there are so many kits and shortcut methods available for Tajore painting, but the original long process is something unique. I was fortunate to learn it (tag along with my mom who learnt it) 15 years back and it does require a lot of patience. So what motivates you and inspires you to create?
The crafting bug in me kept glinting now and then, till I borrowed some time for it to come out!. Now it is on its full glow, taking up all my free time and keeping me busy! Not that I am complaining.. 🙂 Just enjoying it! Crafting satisfies my creative desires and sometimes acts as a stress buster too!
Inspiration….Ideas can pop up from anything, anytime, anywhere..!!I t depends upon what craft/art I am into currently and how well I could relate it with the thing/place I see. Sometimes inspirations come from magazines, blogland and Net.
True, Normal mistakes we make guard us from making big mistakes. Has there been a point in your life when you thought (thinking) that yes, I have succeeded in doing what I want to do?
By the time I have succeeded in what I wanted to do, I would be having another step ahead in my mind, which I would be working towards! And I sincerely believe that Success is not the destination..It is a journey!
So What’s next?
A new blog , to sell my works! Long term plan is to open up a shop that sell art/craft works, designed only by me.. But I am yet to set a deadline for it !!
It was lovely getting to know you Priya and we wish you the very best for your blog store and eventually the real store. Thanks for joining us today.
