Hello everyone, I have two announcements to make. If you are reading this blogpost as an email in your inbox, you may have already noticed the first change. Blogposts from Jewels of Sayuri will be delivered to you through a new Subscription service Followit . Since Feedburner is fading out and I found too many spam/fake subscriptions in my Mailchimp account, I decided to do a clean edit.
Moving from Feedburner and MailChimp to Follow it
Some of you may have opted in to the blog years ago and must be wondering if I stopped writing. Nope, the blog has been running non-stop since February 2010 since I first started writing about jewellery. Through the years, I have built up a small but tight knit circle of readers, friends who visit, comment on my blog regularly. Furthermore, I am friends with you in real life too which I really cherish. However, as a small business owner I was trying to pursue a more commercial route with my blog. An unfortunate side effect of that has been losing touch with those who really matter. In the last week, I went through 4000+ subscription entries to find 200 clients, readers, and followers old and new. I have shifted to follow.it, an alternative to feedburner. If you are a blogger looking to deliver your blog to your email subscribers or a platform for email marketing, I recommend that you try follow.it
What should you do
If you have subscribed to my blog via email and getting this email, then there is nothing more for you to do. In my pruning if I deleted your contact by mistake, I am sorry, please re-subscribe. If you are not yet a blog subscriber, you can subscribe via the box that you see above. I only post 4-6 times a month and promise not to spam you. Please do inform me, if you are getting duplicate emails or didn’t get an email even after subscribing from me. follow.it is a blog reader so you can follow a whole host of blogs and sites through that interest you through it.
Covid-19 relief sale – Shop at Sayuri
This is my second announcement. India is really suffering in this second phase of Covid and as an individual whatever I donate seems tiny. In order to raise more funds, I have a Covid-19 relief sale running for the next two weeks. Check out that link for gallery of items available for sale. 25% of all sales (of readily available pieces) will be donated to the organisations listed at the bottom of the sale page. Items will be shipped in the last week of May, once lockdown is lifted in Chennai to Indian addresses only. Prices are excluding shipping. Payment will be through NEFT, Paytm or UPI ID. See a collage of available pieces below, click the image or link above to go to the actual sale page.
Apart from the satisfaction of helping out your community, you also get a piece of beautiful jewellery to wear or gift adding a smile to your face. As individuals our means are limited but we are stronger as a community!
Thank you for your understanding
Cheers
