Off late, I have become very indecisive and I have been going in circles. A new semester with a new curriculum and the prospect of going back to school has left my brain muddled. I am unable to make up my mind on smaller things. For instance, up until a couple of hours ago, I thought I was not going to do this month’s we’re are ears challenge. But here I am writing a post on Spoonflower earrings. These are some earrings that I made over the last 3 months. They incorporate circles of some sort and are in colours that match the inspiration.
Spoonflower Inspiration
Our inspiration for this month were the Spoonflower, circle print fabrics. They were 10 in number and we could choose 1 or more to create our earrings.

This first pair is a variation of a similar disc earring I made at the end of last year. I am not sure if I postedthe first, blue version on this blog. It is made of patterned paper on which I doodled. The paper is sealed with dimensional magic. While making this style, I thought it would be a good idea to do a tutorial. So I made a series of video clips. Then yesterday, in a moment of pure craziness I deleted them all. HaHaa (cue evil villanic laughter) muddled brain you say?
I attended a Trend forecasting workshop recently. We worked on a series of assignments and the colours that emerged to be the strongest for the next year through our analysis were blush pink and peach. However, I am not a big fan of these colours personally and as an extension would have preferred a stronger colour accent in these earrings.
I have made many variations of this Lotus stud- flat agate bead till now and this is one of them. They are extremely simple to make and look great. I bought a set of these studs last year but I haven’t been able to find them ever since. These Lotus earrings are supposed to be the derivative of the print of the lotus leaf and flower.
Those are my two Spoonflower earrings. Do hop over to the Earrings everyday blog to see what the other participants have made.
I hope you found it interesting
Cheers

I love the lotus earrings. Really pretty! I can relate to loosing a “bead” related item for a year.
Thanks Kathy. Sometimes you just love a finding but you can’t find it in the market anymore
Your earrings are a perfect match to the inspiration! I especially love the lotus earrings, I love the bright dark pink with the forest green.
Thanks Karin, I find them really striking too
Glad you decided to join the challenge, because both earrings are so pretty! I especially love the paper based earrings, Divya. Adding doodling to jewelry opens up so many possibilities!
Yes Anita, I have a stack of scrapbooking papers that I experiment with from time to time. They pose both challenges as well as possibilities
I’m so glad you decided to participate, even if it was at the last minute! Getting to see your design is always so inspiring. I love that first pair and the fact that you doodled them yourself. I hate that the clips got deleted, but completely understand those moments of craziness. I’ve sooooo been there. Best of luck with the upcoming semester!
Thanks Hope. I couldn’t forgive myself for deleting them. I could posted tutorial with this post. But then, thats life which makes you do crazy things
I would say, the lotus finding is the star of the second pair, it’s very detailed and self-sufficient. I missed this challenge for lack of suitable elements, I just didn’t take the time to come up with an idea. The first pair made me regret my decision – it is perfect for the challenge!
I too (almost) gave p on the challenge as I thought that I did not have any suitable components. But reading Ms. Erin’s reveal, made me change my mind. I think we all have enough in our stashes to last several challenges. We only have to look very carefully 🙂
Wonderful Designs of Jewellery earrings. Thanks for sharing the information.
Thanks for visiting and comenting
I always love your designs Divya. And these earrings are very pretty. Love the doodles. And I am so sorry you mistakenly deleted the video’s.
Thanks Janine, the worst part is I found a copy of the videos in my back up folder today.
Your earrings are so soft! Spoonflower is an immense inspiration! I visit their site often to drool at their pretties!
This is the first time, I came across spoonflower. Thanks to your suggestion, I might check out their page more often for inspiration
Love the paper doodled earrings because they combine elements of paper craft and drawing and earring making. They would be great for a teen girls’ party.
For a party you could try the same idea with UV resin. It dries fast under the UV light
This one looks so pretty. Glad you decided to take part in the challenge.
Thank you. It was a spur of the moment thing
Doodles on paper?! Wow! So cool! I love that idea. You can customize it to whatever you like and they are totally unique! Thanks for finding the time to play along in the We’re All Ears challenge! Enjoy the day! Erin
Thanks for the Inspiration Ms. Erin. You really made me participate even if it was at the last moment
Both pairs are really cute, but I especially love the paper doodled ones! I’m not much of a pink girl either, but they are really fun!
I am not a pink girl as well but did it to match the inspiration
