1. Yellow Topaz: You can find yellow Topaz stones in the color range of amber to the pink-orange of a peach and all the beautiful warm browns, golds, and oranges in between. The ancient Egyptians, Romans and Indians associated topaz with Sun god (Ra) and the planet Jupiter claiming that topaz was colored by the God’s golden glowgiving this brilliant gem the power to protect the faithful against harm. 2. Amber: Romanticized by homer in the odyssey, Yellow amber is a hard, translucent, yellow, orange, or brown fossil resin from evergreen trees. It has always been valued as a gemstone and also used in perfumes and medicines. Smooth, lightweight, and warm to the touch, amber was often used for rosary beads in the Middle Ages and Knights often controlled the amber trade. 3. Citrine: I had talked about the gorgeous Madeira Citrine here but Citrine, a variety of transparent quartz, ranges from a juicy lemon yellow to a bright orangey brown and is named after the French citron, or lemon. Sometimes people refer to citrine as topaz quartz which might look similar but differ in hardness. It is one of the three birthstones for November. Sometimes citrine and amethyst can be found together in the same crystal, which is then referred to as ametrine
4. Yellow Sapphire: One of 9 Navaratna gems, yellow sapphire or pushparagam or Pukhraj represents the positive powers of Jupiter and is know to bring prosperity to any one who wears it. Unlike the blue sapphire, the light yellow stone is considered a safe stone and can be worn by everyone.
5. Golden Beryl: A shiny member of the famous Beryl family, Golden Beryl has a warn sunny yellow color. It commonly confused with a similar stone Heliodor, (name after the Greek words for sun helios and gift doron) but golden beryl refers to pure yellow or golden yellow shades, while heliodor refers to the greenish-yellow shades
6. Chrysoberyl: Chrysoberyl (an aluminate of beryllium )is an action gem, changing and moving in response to light producing light ray effect commonly known as cats eye.. Its name is derived from Greek words chrysos and beryllos, meaning “a gold-white spar”. The three main varieties of chrysoberyl are: ordinary yellow-to-green chrysoberyl, cat’s eye or cymophane, and alexandrite ranging from honey gold to greenish color.
