The November palette – The woods are lovely, Dark and deep was quite a hit on Facebook and pinterest and there I had hinted that I’ll be posting a necklace inspired by the time. Here it is – The quiet – Oh so simple yet stunning Gilded woods necklace along with a tutorial to make it. Anybody up for a trip to the woods?

 Materials :
– drilled wooden buttons – 7

– gold rimmed acrylic beads – 2
– GT eyepins – 2
– GT chain & clasp

GT means gold tone, ST – Silver tone

 Method:
1. Paint rims of 6 buttons in bronze (or gold or copper) and cover the remaining button totally in paint. I got mine from K&C supplies. Let dry completely. Seal it with a clear varnish or any sealant
2. Connect all buttons using jump rings, As you all know I love asymmetrical patterns so I put the bronze one at the right instead of center point
3. Cut chain into 2 pieces (depending on the length that you require) and add a clasp in the middle
3. Add an acrylic bead to an eyepin and loop, repeat for the other bead. Connect these to the button part on one end and to the chain on other. Just open and close the loops on the beads to do so.

Ta da!! Your beautiful Gilded woods necklace using beautiful drilled hole wooden buttons is complete and ready to wear. Do join me in a couple of days for a tutorial to make matching gilded wooden button earrings
