Friendship day gifts

With the beginning of the July month every year I feel as though I am hit with a big ball of energy and God I need it for my life becomes more chaotic, more hectic and definitely more fun, as I get back to work with full force after the 2 off-season months – May & June. Its also the time I think of my best friends (not that I forget them at other times ;)) and remember them fondly and connect to them, maybe because their birthdays fall in July/August mostly and also because of Friendship day… (August 5th this year)
 I vividly remember at first buying, and then making these colorful Friendship bracelets at school. We would try to outdo one another by making the most colorful (read gaudy) wrist wraps and would have a lot of fun exchanging and smiling sheepishly while wearing them. It would feel so bad to take them off. thinking about all that, I wanted to make something that refreshed those memories. Yarn didnt suit my requirements so I chose wire to make a grown up version of that – a bracelet that the receiver could keep forever like a keepsake treasure.
 So I came up with a Wire writing  FRIEND  bracelet (gold plated) and a Silver filled Wire Friend necklace
While I made those I thought of a few more gifts items that one could make and give friends. A Wire written Charm or Key chain  that says “Friends”

 I also made a couple of more indirect and less in your face stuff like – this Morse code necklace that says – BEST FRIENDS in Morse code or a bag charm with a crystal dice that reminds you of all those times you had fun playing board games with your childhood/School friends
With a little effort and wire work knowledge you could make most of these in a giffy.And those of you who like them and would like to buy them, I have them ready for sale and they come with a cute Mini friendship day card (handmade) to make the gifting experience great.
So as usual how do you like them..and before I sign off… here’s a little poem I found on my computer – Which I had taken from the internet around 10 years back and found it perfect for the occassion…!! (Author unknown)
All my life I kept my dreams,
Tucked somewhere deep inside;
Till one by one you pulled them out,
With none left there to hide.
You pointed to my deepest dreams,
You told me I should try;
Then gently told me I had wings,
And showed me how to fly,
Then somehow you reached in my heart,
Made words flow like a stream;
With loving inspiration,
You became part of the dream.
I never would have dreamed my dreams,
They would never have come true;
Those dreams would not be realized,
If God had not sent you.
To My Best Friends, I love you guys and I am so lucky to have you..!!
Cheers to good friendships and great Friends!!
