Neon Summer

What is summer without a dash (huge blobs?) of colour? Be it summer or winter there is no question of separating me or for that matter the entire Indian sub continent from Colour. Ever since the start of this year’s summer (unofficially 3 months back here) I have been tending towards Neon colors and made quite a few pieces ..using the ever popular nail enamel technique
I have been waiting for an opportunity to show them off and as blogger kootam has the Summer Craft month – Month long craft showcase based on summer going on, I thought that this was the perfect opportunity. The first two pieces are painted stones – first Jadau style uncut stone and second a Rhinestone necklace. Though I made the first necklace myself using stone connectors, jump rings, brass chain and lopped pearls, The second is a ready piece that I painted.
The third is an Abacus style paper earrings that I made using glazed Lokta paper beads – Lokta paper is Traditional handmade Nepalese paper (read more about it here). the earring even though looks simple has a fairly long process – making paper beads, sealing them, glazing them and then wire wrapping them to the square frame. The final piece – Chain earrings  is fresh with neon green beads and is really simple to make.(Tutorial coming up in the next craftziners magazine so stay tuned!!
All pieces are available at my Etsy or Facebook store for sale.If you don’t find it in Etsy, I list custom list it for you
Linking up to Summer Craft month

I hope you find the pieces interesting
Cheers
